Sports Medicine/Management Students Visit Soldier Field
For the last quarter of the year,
Sports Medicine/Management focuses on sports facilities. In
class, for our final project, several groups design and build
models of all types of sport facilities from stadiums to motocross
tracks and recreation centers. On May 1, we also visited
Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois to see “behind the scenes” at a
professional venue. While there, we learned the history of the
stadium and all that went into its recent renovations. The
tour took us into the visitor’s locker and athletic training rooms,
the luxury suites, and right down on the field itself. With
the beautiful weather, we all had a great time touring one of
Chicago’s best attractions, and got some ideas for our own facility
projects. Thanks to Mr. Anderson and Mr. Robinson for
chaperoning!
